TEA AS MEDITATION

SATURDAY, JANUARY 11TH, AT 2PM - 4PM
Tea As Meditation: Winter Tea Ceremony
Come take a moment to sit, and experience a time of reflection and peace, cultivated through the art of preparing, serving, and drinking tea. This Tea Ceremony will include a mini meditation with Japanese temple bells, followed by a tea ceremony where you will be able to sample a variety of teas that represent the season.
Featured teas will include a Milky Oolong from Alishan, Taiwan, a Kagaboucha from Kanazawa, Japan, a Raw Puerh tea from Yunnan, China, and hand-crafted, organic herbal teas rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Additionally, the teas will be paired with small bites to enhance the tea's qualities. The ceremony will also include a take-home sample of one of the organic herbal tea blends.
Shannon is the owner of Wild Orange Apothecary, a family-run business dedicated to crafting moments of peace through the art and practice of tea. She believes that tea is meditation, and that creating spaces of pause can nourish your everyday life. She is passionate about sharing the rituals of tea passed down from her family lineage, and infusing Traditional Chinese Medicine practices in some of the offerings, such as the organic herbal tea blends. Additionally, Shannon is also a reiki practitioner and infuses all of the ceremonies, products, and packaging, with intentionality and care.
